I met another American (most of the hikers have been European, largely German) who suggested teaming up and kayaking the section after the next… that’s a no brainer! But that does mean another down day. I hiked back to a waterfall that I missed yesterday that I washed to see, there wasn’t really anything else on the trail I missed that I really wanted to see.
A bunch of hikers came into town, many of them are the ones I got a day ahead of when I hiked the long hike to Apple dam two days ago, but it was really nice to see them again.
the weather has been fantastic, I can’t believe how lucky I am, every day has been mostly sunny, the biggest issue is remembering to use sunscreen and the past couple days it’s been 28c, which is nice at night, but hot for hiking.
