Hanging out in camp looking at the next section of trail some other hikers and myself decided the next section of trail would be better skipped because it’s mostly road walking. We talked to a couple who happened to be camping there and they were happy to give us a ride to Kerikeri.
The others decided to take a rest day and hitchhike somewhere about 50 km north of here, I decided that was a little too far out of the way for my taste, so I went to the holiday park and set up camp instead. Met some arborists that were practicing climbing trees (I mean with ropes way up there), and hung out on the river
