Day 9 – Refuge Holle to Saligos

Up and out early! We had a long day ahead of us. The path started mostly in farmland, breaking away from the high route and following the GR10. It was fine walking, mostly uneventful. As the trail got higher, the farmland dropped away and there were many berries.

There was a really nice view at the high point. From there it was a long gradual down. We passed through a couple small towns, did some nasty road walking, then back in the woods, then more road walking. I was thinking we were staying in Sazos, but really it was several more kilometers down into The Valley, right by the river. We were very tired by the time we reached our private cabin and were happy to have a shower, cook dinner and head to bed.
