When we woke up it was raining like we expected. The rest of the trail to Puhoi sounded downhill and potentially muddy with the rain, so instead of hiking back up to the trail we waited for the rain to pass, ate a huge breakfast at the cafe, hiked to Warkworth for resupply (which brings up the “don’t shop when you’re hungry”, but I’m always hungry, issue. I bought so many things that I don’t need) and hitched on to Puhoi.
For whatever reason lots of hikers came into town today, we all had drinks and food at the Puhoi pub, then some of us moved the party back to the B&B. We basically spent the whole drinking and eating.
