Both Spoon and Beast wanted to take a zero at the Roadhouse in Stratton. I was torn, part of me wanted to resupply in town and organize our stuff, the hike 5 miles to a lake and camp there. In ate a huge breakfast, I reset my camera settings to default in hopes that they might reset the back screen (it did not) then spent a bunch of time trying to put the settings all back the way I wanted. I also needed to glue the handle of one of my poles that was coming apart. Long story short I didn’t head out to the pond. It was taco Tuesday at the Roadhouse and it was delicious. I don’t know where the day went honestly.
There was a hiker who came in that evening and was celebrating his 21st birthday, so we all got beer and whiskey and he drank too much, but wasn’t obnoxious about it. For a party it was rather tame, everyone was in bed by 10 PM and it was a lot of fun.
